Stevens Dorcelus, the Quebecer of Haitian origin widely recognized for his commitment to young people, his gold medal won at the Canadian Championships in 2019 and his title of winner in the show Occupation double dans l’ouest<\/strong>, has once again surprised us by embarking on a new challenge. This time, he teamed up with Robin Tessier, a well-known personality to viewers of Occupation Double in the West. On September 6th, they officially announced their partnership with the Guru brand for an intense challenge called Natural Energy Boost<\/strong>. This series of challenges, broadcast on Guru Energy and Couche-Tard’s Instagram and TikTok platforms, captivated Internet users for several weeks, offering participants the chance to win a VIP weekend<\/strong> to attend a basketball game in Toronto. Their mission? Stay motivated, have fun and focus, while inviting Internet users to follow the different challenges to try to win this exceptional prize. Winners have until November 5<\/strong> to participate, and it’s a tie at the end of this energetic adventure.<\/p>\n\n

First challenge: The Piklebal<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The first challenge, called Piklebal<\/strong>, is similar to tennis, but with rules revisited in partnership with Guru. The two competitors battled it out to be the first to reach 21 points<\/strong>. Each point in the game was worth one point, an ace (comparable to tennis) was worth three, and touching a Guru can with the ball was worth five points. However, if a player touched the can with his foot, his opponent scored five points. At the heart of the competition, a surprise prepared by Couche-Tard<\/strong> brought an unexpected twist to the challenge. The late player had the opportunity to play with a Guru can<\/strong> in his hand, thus doubling his points. In an extremely close match, it was ultimately Robin who won the first challenge with a score of 21-20. The competition table then went in their favour, with a 1-0<\/strong> advantage.<\/p>\n\n

Challenge Two: The Test of Style<\/h2>\n\n

The second challenge took place at \n Carole<\/a>\n<\/strong>, Robin’s vintage store in Laval. The rules were clear: Robin and Stevens had 15 minutes each to choose the most stylish outfit, and then they paraded past Iness<\/strong>, a judge on the challenge and Stevens<\/strong>‘ girlfriend, who is also well-known to Occupation Double fans in the West<\/strong>. Each outfit had to incorporate Guru’s iconic colors, namely red, yellow, and blue. Stevens used the entirety of his 15 minutes to choose his outfit, while Robin was quicker, taking just 8 minutes. The results were announced, with Robin getting a score of 7 out of 10 for his outfit, and Stevens getting an 8 out of 10. The overall competition was thus tied, with a score of 1-1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Third Challenge: Art in the Guru Way<\/h2>\n\n

The third challenge pushed the 2 competitors to explore their artistic creativity. Stevens and Robin were tasked with creating their opponent’s portrait on a blank canvas, using Guru’s colors. In addition, during the featured product moment, they had to incorporate the use of a Guru can into their respective artwork, earning an additional five points. Stevens chose to use the can to integrate it directly into the canvas, creating a portrait of Robin submerged in the liquid from the Guru can, illustrated by a rainbow of colors. For his part, Robin decided to incorporate the Guru can into the painting process by using the paint inside the can to spray his final canvas with small specks of paint. At the end of this artistic event, Stevens won the challenge with a score of 30-25, reducing the overall margin to 2-1 in his favour.<\/p>\n\n

Fourth Challenge: Music as the Last Test<\/h2>\n\n

The final challenge came in the form of a music competition in collaboration with Mike Clay, a renowned Montreal singer-songwriter. Mike Clay was there to coach the participants, but also to judge them at the end of the challenge. Contestants were rated on a scale of 1 to 10 for their writing and presence. Robin’s words were full of energy, while Stevens’ reflected a positive attitude. Mike Clay gave Stevens 7.5 out of 10 for writing, 8.5 out of 10 for performance, adding 15 points for using the three required words. For Robin, the variety in the flows earned him a score of 9 out of 10 for writing and performance, as well as 15 points for using all three words. The end result was a perfect tie, with an overall score of 2-2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n
